Bury Grammar School, Lancashire, 1950-59. Kings College, Newcastle
upon Tyne (then part of Durham University) 1959-62
(BSc Honours Civil Engineering
course, no degree awarded).
- Work: 1962-1975: worked as Civil Engineer in Local Government
and Private Industry; 1968-date: Freelance Journalist, Writer
and Broadcaster;
1974-date: proprietor of North Press Agency.
- Chris is also well known throughout the Region as a sports journalist and as a regular competitor in athletics,
cycling and the triathlon.
Chris
has completed all 22 Great North Runs!
