International Festival of Business 2016
Case Study: Liverpool Vision - AV Hire at Exhibition Centre Liverpool & Other Liverpool Venues
Following the inaugural International Festival of Business in 2014, Liverpool Vision's plans for the 2016 event were to centralise the festival in and around Liverpool's new Exhibition centre.
The design contained 15 auditoriums plus a central stage for presentations and Blue Skies events amid stalls and multiple break out rooms for private discussions after conferences. Adlib won the contract for the 2016 event to supply equipment and staff to build, operate and de-rig of the interior of the venues which spread over 8100 square metres of event space.
Other key venues such as the Anglican Cathedral and St Georges Hall were also used for evening events and dinners.
The Adlib team pulled together as a whole and designed, manufactured, supplied, rigged and operated the technical infrastructure at IFB 2016. Starting at the designing stage, advising on floor plans with proposed layouts and structures, working out the best design to fit in each of the 15 auditoriums, as well as how to rig it all in the short period of time available due to other events using the exhibition space either side of the IFB event.
Complete lighting packages were provided consisting of Spot lights, washes, uplights, moving profile lights for stage effects and all the relevant rigging safety cabling and power. Programmable Lighting control desks were supplied to cover all house and stage elements and emergency lighting systems had to be installed for all of the venues.
Sets were manufactured to suit each auditorium with incorporated video and projections screens, large enough to allow every delegate present to see the presentation. Panasonic 21K Projectors were used to project onto said screens and sizeable 84” LCD screens were used in the smaller venues.
Audio supplied flown Coda Audio loudspeakers in the larger auditoriums, and discrete K-Array loudspeakers for the smaller rooms. Along with lecterns, microphones and laptops for the spokesperson to use. Soundcraft mixing consoles and Sennheiser microphones were provided as well as comms for FOH and the stage area again with all of the relevant rigging and safety equipment.
