Primary Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Test Technician to join our team. The role will be responsible for planning, supervising and conducting thorough inspections and testing of electrical appliances to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in promoting a safe working environment by identifying and rectifying potential electrical hazards.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct and supervise others in Electrical Testing company equipment.
- Perform visual inspections and electrical tests on a variety of portable appliances.
- Identify and record any defects or issues with appliances.
- Ensure that all testing is carried out in accordance with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Identify and diagnose faults in electrical appliances.
- Perform minor repairs or recommend appropriate actions to rectify faults.
- Stay up to date with the latest safety standards and regulations related to electrical appliances.
- Ensure all testing activities are in compliance with relevant legislation.
- Ensure that testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
Documentation/Reporting Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all testing activities.
- Generate and provide test reports for distribution to clients.
- Provide explanations and guidance on testing results and any required corrective actions.
