Emmaus Road Church began as part of the 24-7 Prayer network, meeting in homes, pubs and small venues before growing into a multi-site church community. When it came time to develop their new home, The Founders Studio. They reached out to Adlib to help design and deliver a multi-purpose technical system to support both Sunday worship and weekday community activity.
From toddler groups and worship services to weddings and midweek ministry, the space needed to offer high-quality sound, clear visuals, and simple operation, accessible to volunteers with little or no technical background.
The solution focused on simplicity, flexibility, and long-term value, making the best use of the church’s budget while investing in robust, user-friendly equipment that would be intuitive to use and reliable across different use cases.
A compact but powerful L-Acoustics loudspeaker system was installed, delivering full-range coverage from four flown speakers, optimised for clarity across speech and music. At the heart of the system is a wall-mounted control panel, linked to an Allen & Heath mixing system, allowing users to adjust levels and switch inputs with minimal training.
A 16-channel input panel on stage gives visiting bands and ensembles an easy way to plug in acoustic instruments, vocals and keyboards. Wireless microphones, stored and charged on-site, are ready for use at any time. Without any need for additional setup.

To meet the church’s presentation needs, two large screens were installed at the front of the room for congregation-facing visuals. A third screen on the back wall serves as a stage display. Ideal for musicians and speakers needing lyric prompts, countdowns, or slide cues.
Inputs are managed via HDMI patch points, allowing simple plug-and-play from a laptop or media player.
The lighting package includes four simple but effective stage lights, designed to give the stage a clean, professional wash of light without requiring any programming knowledge. Volunteers can easily control the lighting, creating a welcoming atmosphere for services and community events alike.
Having worked together previously, the Emmaus Road team saw the relationship with Adlib as more than a one-off install. From initial conversations through to post-installation support, the project was approached as a long-term partnership. The design was collaborative and focused on meeting the church where they were. Building on their existing experience and empowering their team with tools they could use confidently from day one.
The result is a space that feels intentional, high-quality, and user-friendly. Whether running a full-band worship service, a kids’ session, or a wedding, the Founders Studio now has the infrastructure to support the church’s growing needs for years to come.
