The Requirement
The Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, recently underwent a refurbishment project to transform one of its spaces into a modern boardroom equipped with the latest business collaboration technology. Adlib, a leading provider of corporate AV systems and integration, was awarded the competitive tender to design and install the AV solutions required for this project. Under the guidance of Project Manager Stuart Fraser, Adlib successfully implemented a range of state-of-the-art equipment and the Q-SYS ecosystem to deliver a Microsoft Teams-certified solution and create a seamless and immersive boardroom experience.
The client's primary goal was to create a contemporary boardroom that facilitated seamless network conferencing and online meeting room booking. They sought a complete AV solution to enhance collaboration and communication among the management teams at The Adam Smith Theatre and other teams across Fife County.
The Solution
Adlib addressed the client's requirements by integrating cutting-edge AV technology into the boardroom space. The Q-SYS ecosystem enabled seamless network conferencing and online meeting room booking. This included the installation of a Q-SYS Core 8 Nano Audio/Video processor, which provided the foundation for the entire AV system, and a Q-SYS TSC-50-G3 Touch Screen Controller, allowing for intuitive control of the system.
Adlib supplied and installed two Q-SYS AD-C4T Ceiling Loudspeakers and two Q-SYS AD-S802T Column Surface-Mount Loudspeakers to ensure exceptional audio quality, offering clear sound throughout the boardroom. Additionally, a Biamp Sublime subwoofer was integrated to enhance the low-frequency response and add depth to audio playback.
Adlib provided a Panasonic 86CQE1W 86-inch Professional Display for video display, delivering crystal-clear visuals during presentations and video conferences. The display was complemented by two Blustream IP250 UHD-TX Video over IP Transmitters and one Blustream IP250 UHD-RX Video over IP Receiver, facilitating high-quality video streaming to the large format display. This setup caters to both the Logitech video conferencing system and direct connections to the central table, providing seamless presentations on the screen.
To facilitate seamless video conferencing, Adlib installed a Q-SYS NC 12X80 PTX Conference Camera, capturing high-resolution video of meeting participants. Adlib incorporated the Sennheiser Team Connect Ceiling 2 Ceiling Microphone for crystal-clear audio pickup. This discreet microphone solution captures audio from above, providing excellent coverage of meeting participants without needing tabletop microphones.
To further enhance the overall boardroom experience, Adlib provided a Logitech Tap bundle video conferencing solution. This user-friendly solution simplified the management of video conferences, making it effortless for users to join and control meetings.
The Result
Adlib's installation of a Microsoft Teams-certified AV solution in the Adam Smith Theatre's boardroom has significantly enhanced communication and collaboration capabilities.
