Adlib was delighted to once again provide a comprehensive audio-visual package for the annual awards ceremony of a leading High Street Retailer at the ACC Exhibition Centre in Liverpool for the second year running. Adlib supplied state-of-the-art audio equipment, lighting solutions, in-ear monitoring (IEM) systems, cameras with PPU, control and distribution infrastructure, and an expert crew. Around 500 guests were treated to an immersive experience featuring captivating live performances and video wall content, all expertly delivered by our team at Adlib.
Adlib provided 258 ROE Black Quartz 4.6mm LED panels, forming a vibrant and sharp display, powered by an 8k Helios Processing Rack to ensure flawless image reproduction. The camera and PPU system featured two Panasonic UC4000 4K broadcast cameras equipped with UJ90 lenses, capturing every moment in great detail.
Alongside two Panasonic AW-UE150 4K PTZ cameras with touchscreen remote control for dynamic and flexible coverage. The 4K PPU Production Core and Bridge, paired with the 4K CCU Engineering Core and Bridge, provided complete video integration across the event.
The audio setup for the High Street Retailer’s awards ceremony was designed to deliver clear sound quality and full coverage across the venue.
The loudspeaker system that Adlib delivered featured a range of high-performance Coda Audio equipment, including 4 AiRAY 90-degree and 8 AiRAY 120-degree speakers, 14 ViRAY elements, and 6 compact HOPS5 speakers, strategically deployed to provide optimal clarity and consistency. Low-end reinforcement was handled by 8 SCP-F subwoofers. Complemented by 2 HOPS12T and 4 G712-Pro speakers for additional power and precision. Amplification and control were facilitated through Coda T6 and T3 amplifier racks, alongside a Newton control rack for system management.
Additionally, the inclusion of Sennheiser EK2000 in-ear monitors with an SR2050 transmitter ensured audio monitoring for presenters and performers, supplementing the overall production quality.
The lighting design for the High Street Retailer’s awards ceremony was crafted to create a captivating and dynamic atmosphere, highlighting key moments throughout the evening. The setup featured an impressive array of fixtures, including 50 Acme Pixel Line units, which added bold, linear effects and vibrant colour accents.
Adlib also provided 52 Ayrton Diablo fixtures, offering exceptional precision and versatility for intricate beam and spot lighting. To provide powerful key and performance lighting, 10 Martin MAC Ultra Performance fixtures were utilised, delivering stunning brightness and control. Additionally, 9 Martin MAC Aura PXL fixtures and an impressive 84 Martin MAC Aura XIP fixtures added layered textures, washes, and creative effects.
The success of the High Street Retailer’s awards ceremony was underpinned by an extensive control and rigging setup, along with a skilled team of production staff. At the core of the control system were stage and FoH racks connected via 150m of multi, with grandMA3 full-size and compact consoles providing precise lighting control. Power distribution was managed through a combination of StageSmarts C72tv and C24 distros, alongside an INDU 36-way distro. Audio control was bolstered by a Lab Gruppen PLM10000Q amplifier, L-Acoustics 108P enclosures, DiGiCo SD and Quantum consoles, and an 8-way Sennheiser 6000 RF system, ensuring reliability and flexibility throughout.
The rigging setup, for suspending lighting, video, and audio equipment, featured 60 EXE 0.5T motors, 5 EXE 1T motors, and 98 OV40 2.5m trusses, providing a robust infrastructure for the audio visual solution.
None of this would be possible without a highly experienced crew. During load-in and load-out, a team comprising production and ground riggers, technicians for audio, video, and lighting systems, and specialists for LED and PA systems ensured the setup was efficient and precise. For the show itself, the crew included operators for audio, lighting consoles, cameras, and robotic cameras, along with a video director and technicians for video racks and system management
This collaborative effort from the Adlib team ensured a seamless production, showcasing the importance of expert planning, technical excellence, and teamwork.
