Shout Conference UK 2025 marked a significant step forward in scale for Equippers Church, who hosted the event at G Live in Guildford, making use of the main auditorium, Bellerby Studio, Glass Room, and external spaces including the Mandolay Hotel. While Equippers already had a strong volunteer technical team and core equipment stock, particularly around video and lighting, the challenge was to scale their existing infrastructure to meet the demands of a multi-room, high-production-value event without undermining their in-house capability.
The church’s vision was clear: to retain ownership of their production, ensuring their volunteer crew were central to the operation, and keep familiar systems in use, while ensuring technical delivery matched the ambition and quality expected at a venue like G Live.
Adlib partnered with Equippers to augment and scale their in-house production, rather than replace it. The approach was collaborative, with a focus on meeting the church where they were, allowing them to operate their own control systems while expanding capability where needed.

The in-house L-Acoustics system at G Live was used for the main PA, with Adlib supplying a fully integrated control package featuring Allen & Heath dLive and Avantis consoles for front-of-house and monitors, along with extensive Shure Axient Digital wireless and P10 IEM systems. Wired and wireless RF systems were deployed alongside comprehensive microphone and DI packages, supporting both music and spoken word throughout the conference.
Lighting was designed around Equippers’ existing Avolites Sapphire Touch console, with Adlib supplying the rig infrastructure of: GLP X4 Bars, Chauvet Strike Array blinders, Ayrton Khamsin profiles, and Martin Aura XIP washes. The flown and floor rigs were prepped for quick setup using Tyler truss and StageSmarts distro to allow for fast changeovers and scalable control.
The comms system covered both wired and wireless positions across the venue, enabling clear communication between stage, FOH, and support teams across production zones.
Used primarily for children’s sessions, the Bellerby Studio was fitted with a CODA Audio PA system comprising HOPS8Ts and G18-Subs. An Allen & Heath SQ5 console managed control, integrating seamlessly with wireless mics and IEMs to allow fast transitions between sessions and live music performance. The lighting setup included Martin Aura XIP fixtures and Acme Pixel Line IP battens, all run via an Avolites Quartz desk operated by the Equippers team.
Breakout spaces were also supported with appropriately scaled systems. Both the Glass Room and a seminar room at the Mandolay Hotel were equipped with CODA loudspeakers, Yamaha compact mixers, and Sennheiser RF systems to support smaller teaching sessions, panels, and overflow. Control and signal infrastructure allowed these rooms to operate independently where needed, with consistent quality and reliable RF coverage.
Across all spaces, the focus was on interoperability and volunteer-friendly systems. Equippers’ own video systems: including LED screens and camera gear. These setups were rigged with dry-hire support from Adlib, while signal and power distribution were standardised to ensure a smooth setup across multiple environments.

Rather than providing an off-the-shelf solution, Adlib helped scale Equippers' existing production, enabling their team to deliver a high-spec, multi-space event without stepping away from the systems they knew best. Volunteers remained in key roles, running FOH, monitors and lighting, with Adlib supplying the infrastructure, equipment, and support to assist in making it all work smoothly.
The result was a seamless blend of professional support and in-house ownership, allowing the church to scale confidently for a large venue, without losing the essence of their own culture or capability.
