Podcasts are nothing new; however, turning them into a live show is a new concept that can sometimes prove complicated. That was not the case for one of the UK’s most popular podcasts - Sh**ged, Married, Annoyed. Chris & Rosie Ramsey have adapted their podcast into a great live show that entertained fans throughout the UK arenas. Joining them were event technology specialists Adlib, who supplied a full production, including audio, lighting, and video for the record-breaking live arena tour, with sell-out shows at London’s O2 Arena and Wembley SSE Arena.
For the SMA 2021 arena tour, Adlib worked closely with production to supply a CODA Audio AiRAY Loudspeaker system, with additional CODA Audio ViRAY hangs used as delays. The system was powered by CODA Audio LINUS14D amps and controlled by DiGiCo SD12 and SD9 digital mixing consoles.
The lighting system comprised three flown trusses of Martin MAC Ultra Performance, MAC Ultra Wash, and MAC Aura PXLs controlled via grandMA3 light consoles. The flown system was complemented by a floor package of additional PXLs to work with and augment the production touring floor package. The Adlib team deployed Robert Juliat Merlin 2500w for the follow spot duty.
The technical production package was complete with a video system that comprised a 4 x Sony HXC100 broadcast channel IMAG camera system with Panasonic PPU and Barco S3 Screen Management. The camera system fed two 20’ x 11’3” projection IMAG screens on either side of the stage. The upstage 9m x 5m LED screen was built up using Unilumin UPADIII H05 5.9mm product, which displayed artist content fed by the production playback system.
