Known for high-energy performances and a visually rich show aesthetic, YUNGBLUD’s 2025 European arena tour required a bold and tightly integrated lighting and video package that could deliver impact at scale. With a creative direction rooted in punk-pop chaos and emotional storytelling, the design needed to match the artist’s on-stage intensity while supporting real-time IMAG and programmed media playback.
Working across multiple countries and a varied set of arenas, the production team needed a robust touring solution that was modular, efficient to deploy, and consistent across diverse stage sizes and configurations.
Adlib supplied a comprehensive lighting and video solution for the full European leg, supporting the artist’s creative team with a system that balanced powerful visual tools with practical touring infrastructure.
The video setup centred around two 4m x 7m IMAG LED walls, built from ROE Black Quartz 4.6mm panel. Over 120 LED panels were deployed, with spares included to ensure full coverage across the tour.
Signal processing was managed by a Helios 8K processing rack, with additional Helios remote output racks positioned at stage level for decentralised signal routing. Control and playback were handled using a Panasonic Toughbook interface and a combination of PPU and vision mixing solutions, including a Panasonic AV-HS410, Blackmagic ATEM 4K8, and Barco ImagePro-4K.
Camera infrastructure featured a multi-camera IMAG setup, combining Sony HXC-100 broadcast cameras, Panasonic AW-UE150 PTZs, and Canon lenses, including the UJ90x for long-throw FOH coverage. Control and CCU racks were built into dedicated touring cases for quick deployment and consistent broadcast quality across venues.

The flown and floor lighting rig was built for power, speed, and flexibility. Over 70 Martin MAC Aura XIP fixtures formed the backbone of the wash system, supported by Robe FORTE EP and Martin MAC Ultra Performance moving heads for punchy beam effects and precise key lighting. The design also incorporated GLP JDC1 strobes, Chroma-Q Color Force II LED battens, and over 70 Astera AX2 PixelBars, enabling rich pixel mapping and dynamic eye candy looks.
Atmosphere was delivered using a mix of MDG e-MEGA foggers, Hazebase Pro hazers, and Martin Glaciators, supported by a network of DMX fans for consistent stage coverage. All haze and fog systems were specified with touring spares, fluid stock, and softcovers to handle changing environmental conditions across the route.
Lighting control was managed using a grandMA3 full-size console, with another grandMA3 full-size desk and stage racks supporting full show redundancy. A 150m fibre multicore connected the stage and FOH positions, ensuring stable signal transmission and fast setup at each venue. Distribution was handled via StageSmarts C24 and C72tv distros, providing structured power and signal routing for all fixture groups.
EXE D8+ motors and Tyler GT Plus pre-rig truss formed the physical structure of the touring system. The truss configuration included pods, towers, and ladders for ladder-based fixtures, allowing precise placement of lighting positions above, around, and within the set design.
All truss sections and rigging points were managed with full load cell monitoring and Outboard LV motor control, giving the rigging team full visibility and control during load-in, programming, and daily checks.
Backstage and technical comms were handled using a TecPro and Green-Go hybrid system, offering both wired and wireless beltpack coverage with clear audio, flexible routing, and DECT wireless antenna distribution. Comms infrastructure supported crew working FOH, backstage, and in the pit during showtime and changeovers.
YUNGBLUD’s 2025 European tour was delivered with a fully integrated visual and lighting system, tailored to support a show that demanded high production value, fast turnover, and precise touring logistics.
The lighting rig allowed the design team to develop large-scale theatrical looks and moments as well as energetic strobe and beam sequences, while the video system delivered reliable IMAG and playback across every show without compromise.
Adlib’s pre-production support, efficient touring hardware, and consistent system design allowed the production team to move seamlessly from venue to venue, ensuring each show delivered the same creative punch, night after night, regardless of country or venue.
