The CC8 is engineered for a flat frequency response with a subtle lift in the high-frequency range to provide natural shimmer without harshness. Due to Austrian Audio's precise manufacturing tolerances, any two CC8 microphones are matched within +/- 0.5 dB at 1 kHz, making them ideal for stereo overhead applications. The microphones also feature a three-position high-pass filter and a pad to handle high sound pressure levels (SPL) common in drum miking.

The DMK1 kit is supplied as a comprehensive solution for touring and session engineers. Alongside the microphones, the kit includes professional mounting hardware: the OCH8 mic clip for the OC-B6 and two CCW8 clips for the CC8 microphones.
