DiGiCo Quantum 225DS Digital Mixing Console
DiGiCo has expanded its mid-format mixing ecosystem with the introduction of the Quantum 225DS console and an accompanying Dual Screen Upgrade Kit. Announced in May 2026, these additions directly build upon the established Quantum 225 platform by integrating a secondary screen. This configuration addresses user demand for an expanded visual workflow within a compact chassis, offering immediate access to more parameter data without requiring external display monitors.

Quantum 225DS Workspace and Processing Capabilities
The DiGiCo Quantum 225DS Digital Mixing Console maintains the internal digital signal processing architecture of the standard Quantum 225 while integrating a second 17-inch high-brightness multitouch screen. Built on eighth-generation FPGA technology, the console provides 72 input channels, 36 auxiliary or subgroup busses, a 12x12 matrix, and two solo busses, all running with full processing paths. The dual-screen layout changes the ergonomics of the surface, allowing engineers to keep a persistent overview of channel strips, channel banks, or master meters on one display while concurrently adjusting channel EQ, dynamics, or nodal processing on the other.
Tactile control is supported by 25 touch-sensitive 100mm faders and dedicated physical encoders aligned with the screen interfaces. The console incorporates DiGiCo’s advanced processing toolset as standard, including Mustard Processing strips, Spice Rack FPGA-based plugin slots, and independent Nodal Processing for per-auxiliary equalisation and dynamics. The rear panel accommodates native local I/O alongside dual DMI slots for format expansion, supporting seamless integration into MADI, Dante, or Optocore networks.

Quantum 225 Dual Screen Upgrade Kit
For rental houses and venues that already own standard single-screen units, the DiGiCo Quantum 225 Dual Screen Upgrade Kit offers a direct retrofit pathway. This package includes the secondary 17-inch touchscreen panel assembly, internal structural mounting modifications, and the necessary data and power cabling. Installing the upgrade kit converts an existing chassis into the full DS specification, preserving all existing internal processing infrastructure, software configurations, and local I/O configurations while doubling the on-board visual feedback.
The upgrade kit offers a practical method for inventory optimisation, allowing users to align their existing equipment with modern multi-screen workflow requirements without the capital expenditure of purchasing entirely new console frames. Because the underlying processing engine remains identical, show files are completely compatible between single-screen and dual-screen variations, easing the transition for touring engineers moving between different hardware iterations in the field.

Technical Support and Factory Installation
Both the Quantum 225DS console and the factory-certified upgrade kits are available and shipping now across the wider DiGiCo product range. For clients looking to modify their current console inventory, the upgrade process requires precise internal hardware adjustment. To ensure full system calibration and maintain product warranty status, customers can choose to send their existing Quantum 225 consoles to Adlib’s authorised service facility, where qualified technicians will handle the complete mechanical installation, hardware testing, and firmware commissioning.
Hardware pricing for both the new console systems and the dual-screen retrofit packages is available by quotation only. Please contact us to upgrade now, to request custom pricing, or to arrange a technical consultation with our engineering team regarding your specific mixing infrastructure needs.
