Event sound systems are about more than just putting a PA system in a room. We have a huge range of audio equipment from leading manufacturers which means we can tailor the system to suit your specific event style and choice of venue.

We stock a vast range of wired and wireless microphones including headsets, lapel mics, handheld “roving” mics, and band microphone packages. The wide range of speakers in our stock means that we can supply discrete compact PA systems (in white if required),  to arena-scale sound systems for major events.

Whether it’s a single plasma screen for an exhibition stand or a large-scale immersive video experience as part of a complete event audio-visual package we have our own stock of leading displays supported by creative and experienced technicians and designers.

We stock large-format LED screens and video walls for indoor and outdoor use. These video screens can be combined with HD and 4K camera kits and vision mixing equipment.

Alongside LED screens, our stock of projectors and screens range from desktop projectors for boardroom presentations to large-format projection systems for outdoor projection and projection mapping.

We stock a wide range of video control and playback systems including HD and 4k vision mixing equipment, PPUs, and media servers.

Whether you are looking to highlight your venue’s architecture, create special effects during your awards presentations, or ensure your presenters and performers are seen, our experienced lighting designers and technicians have a huge stock of equipment to choose from to create the perfect atmosphere for your event.

We stock a wide range of traditional and LED fixtures including wireless battery powered LED uplighters, moving lights, spotlights, wash lights, and control systems.

We have invested in indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures and work on a wide range of events – one day we are lighting a single presenter at a small presentation, the next we are illuminating the outside of a building.

Our lighting equipment is available for dry hire or as part of a full event AV package with technical support.

Conference Production

Set & Staging

The set and staging is often the centrepiece of your event. We have a huge range of stock stage sets and backdrops available to choose from that can be customised with projection, lighting, and graphics to create something unique and cost-effective for your event.

Our in-house scenic design team also design and manufacture bespoke stage sets including full print wraps and can supply a range of lecterns and other stage furniture from hire stock.

We are one of the largest stockists of Prolyte Stagedex staging in the UK. These stage units can be used to create small presentation platforms, large conference stages, and catwalks. These stages are available with accessories including steps, handrails, and ramps.

What size of events can you help with?

Every event is different. We have the skills and scale of equipment to provide creative, cost-effective audio visual solutions for major conferences (like this one at Manchester Central), exhibitions (like this one at Exhibition Centre Liverpool), and events (like this event at Liverpool Cathedral).

But we don’t just work on large-scale events. A large number of our clients hire AV equipment for smaller presentations, conferences and events. We regularly provide discrete audio-visual systems for events in listed buildings and have invested heavily in sound, lighting and video systems that are discrete even in boardrooms and the smallest event venues.

How much does AV hire cost?

The cost of audio visual hire for your event depends on a number of factors including:

  • The choice of venue, layout, and acoustics
  • The amount of time available for set-up and de-rig
  • The type of event and what you are looking to achieve in terms of design
  • Whether you need sound, lighting, video, staging or all of these elements
  • Any custom elements including custom branding, content creation, and stage sets

Our prices always include the cost of equipment hire. If you are choosing to have our technicians deliver, set-up, operate, and de-rig the equipment then we will include these costs in the quote too alongside any custom requirements including content creation, bespoke design and printing, and custom scenic elements.

Becuase we own our own vehicles we are able to provide equipment anywhere in the UK cost effectively. Some of our larger clients choose to take Adlib on the road to deliver their events in Europe and internationally too.

How long does it take to set-up AV for an event?

It really depends on what you are looking to achieve. We are aware that there are some very tight restrictions on set-up and de-rig time at some venues, especially those in central London (think of venues like The Savoy or Grosvenor House, Hilton Park Lane, or The Brewery where set up times can be particularly tight or there are restrictions on when vehicles can be loaded and unloaded).

Our team is very accommodating and will always work within the restrictions that you have. However, the shorter the time frame, the more technicians we need to meet your deadline. This means that the longer we have to set-up and de-rig, the lower the cost to you.

How much notice do I give you if I want to book you?

We are always happy to help with last minute requirements where possible and aim to be flexible. The most important thing is that we won’t compromise quality. So if you try to book us to provide AV at your event and there isn’t enough time to deliver to our usual standards, we will let you know.

We have a huge warehouse of equipment and over 120 full-time staff. However, there are still times of year when we are exceptionally busy so it’s always worth getting in touch as soon as you start planning your event so that we can pencil you into our calendar.

Do you offer site visits?

We are familiar with the majority of popular event venues in the UK so a site visit is not always required (especially if your requirements are quite simple). However, for larger events, we will almost always conduct a site visit. For some of the largest events that we work on, we will attend a number of site visits in the lead up to the event to ensure that everything is properly coordinated.

Can I bring my own PowerPoint presentation or videos?

Yes. You and your presenters are welcome to supply your own presentations and videos, or we can create those for you. We generally encourage you to send these through to us in advance of your event so that we can test them thoroughly before we arrive on site.

For major conferences, some clients ask us to provide technicians for their speaker preparation area. These technicians are responsible for working with your presenters to prepare and test their presentations before sending them to the technicians in the presentation space.

Will your AV technicians stay during the event?

When you’re organising an event, the last thing you want is to have to worry about the AV. That’s why the majority of our clients ask our technicians to run the rehearsals and stay for the duration of the event.

However, it’s worth noting that if you want to operate the equipment yourself (or just hire it from us without delivery and set-up) those options are available. Just let us know your preference when you request your AV hire quote.

Can we have a rehearsal?

Yes, absolutely. For smaller events, presenters often like to run through their slides or have a quick soundcheck prior to the start of the event. For larger events, a rehearsal can include a full run through of every cue. It all depends on what you would prefer and what your presenters or performers require. This is something to discuss when you request your quote as we will need to ensure we have built enough time into the schedule to accommodate your rehearsal if you need one.
